This year we’ve lined up 7 impressive documentaries in competition including both films originating from North Africa; Bout de Vie: Bout de Reve (Algeria/France) and Boxing with Her (Tunisia), both presenting unusual and radical perspectives of the world. All of the films in this section were made within the last two years. Two films, which are below feature length, will be shown together: Zanzibari High and Milles Soleils. Established names such as Jean Marie Teno (Leaf in The Wind) and William Mbye (President Dia), rub shoulders with rising stars Mati Diop, Lovinsa Kavuma, Shannon Walsh (Jeppe on a Friday) and Arya Lalloo (Jeppe on a Friday).
